Story
Naresh (Allari Naresh) born with super natural powers with a mistake by Lord Brahma. Naresh who fails to pass intermediate does stage shows and in this regard he falls in NaradhaMuni’s trick ending up marrying Yamaja (Richa), Yamadharmaraja’s daughter who comes to Bhoolokam. Yamaja takes it seriously while Naresh hesitates his marriage initially but later falls in love with her. When everything falls in place, Yamadarmaraja (Sayaji Shinde) who comes to know about his daughter marriage takes her back to Yamalokam while Naresh who has the super natural powers follows him to the Yamalokam. The rest of the story is to be watched on the screens.
Performances
Allari Naresh as usual is incredible in his comic timing and entertains you to the core. He did his best to pull off the role and is good in his dances as well.
Richa Panai is slim and glamorous but she needs to work on her acting skills and expressions. Her costumes are awkward while the dubbing has not suited her.
Sayaji Shinde as Lord Yama is alright while Master Bharath rocks the show. The Bommarillu spoof has come out well. Ramya Krishna gave her best though her role was not etched well. Krishna Bhagawan is good, Tanikella Bharani is regular, Raghu Babu, Jyothi are vulgar.
Technical Analysis
Music by Koti doesn’t impress you, and it’s only the remix track of Attho Atthamma kuthuro that grabs interest in masses. Background Score is just okay. Cinematography has nothing to boast of. Screenplay is sloppy and editing could have been crispier. Dialogues in the first half are good, direction is just okay. Production values are good.
Analysis
Besides the clichéd story, the first half of Yamudiki Mogudu has good one liners and rhyming dialogues. Allari Naresh shows his incredible comic timing while Master Bharath, Sayaji Shinde, Raghu Babu, Krishna Bhagawan supports him well. However, the second half of the film is slow paced and few of the scenes like Allari Naresh dressing as a woman and scenes between Allari Naresh, Ramya Krishna looked inane. The climax is absurd and emotional depth in scenes lack. The only song that clicks is 'Atto Attamma Kuthuro' remix which is packed with raunchy dance movements by Ramya Krishna, Naresh and Richa Panai, that will go well with front-benchers. The plot goes out of pace several times but the director manages it with the spoofs on films and double-meaning dialogues. Though parts of the first half are entertaining, the second half fails to hold your interest.
Final Verdict
A better second half might have made Yamudiki Mogudu an enjoyable fare!!!
