Shemika Charles (USA) set a new Guinness World Record for the lowest limbo by a woman when she danced under a bar only 8.5 in (21.5 cm) from the ground on the set of Live! With Regis and Kelly as part of the launch of the new Guinness World Records 2011 book in the USA.

Stephen Parkes (UK) began collecting Smurfs as a child and as of January 28, 2010 his collection totals 1,061 separate items. You can read more about Stephen (and his Smurfs!) on page 144 of the new Guinness World Records 2011 book.

Featured in the new Guinness World Records 2011 book is Puggy, the dog with the longest tongue in the world - an amazing 4.5 in or 11.43 cm. Puggy is a Pekingese owned by Becky Stanford (USA) and can be found on page 150 of our new book!

Tommy Mattinson is in the new Guinness World Records 2011 book as the only gurner to have won the World Championship eleven times from 1986-87 and 1999-2008. 'Gurning' involves distorting your face as much as possible and contests in the sport are a rural tradition dating back to the 13th century in England.
