If the charge sheet itself is 1000 pages, it is up to anybody's guess about the actual fraud that has been committed!! CBI has filed charge sheet in Emaar Case today, 3 days ahead of the due date. The charge sheet is due by 4th of this month. CBI Joint Director J. Lakshminarayana has informed that they have filed a charge sheet running into 1000 pages, loaded in 6 boxes, against 3 accused. With B.P. Acharya taken into custody yesterday, the total number of arrests made in this case went up to 4, with Koneru Rajendra Prasad, Sunil Reddy and CEO of Emaar Hills Township Vijayaraghavan already in custody. However, it is announced by CBI that charge sheet has been filed only against 3 accused. As Acharya is an IAS officer, charge sheet against him may not have been filed waiting for permission from the Central Government.
It is interesting to note here that another accused in the same case T. Ranga Rao, Managing Director of Stylish Homes has been granted anticipatory bail with a personal bond of Rs. 50,000 and a condition that he shall not leave Hyderabad. It is rumoured that Ranga Rao is turning himself as an approver in the case.. Fueling to this rumour is the fact that CBI has also not opposed the anticipatory bail for Ranga Rao.
