Sallu is going the Rishi way

In the 70s and 80s, Rishi Kapoor was famous for being cast opposite as many as 22 new girls (from Kajal Kiran to Jaya Prada to Sonam). Now Salman Khan seems to have taken on the mantle. After Veer, where he was cast opposite newbie Zarine Khan, he has shot with yet another newcomer — Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter, Sonakshi in the forthcoming Dabangg. Arbaaz Khan, the producer of Dabangg, comments, “Expectations from Salman are sky high in Dabangg. When it came to casting a heroine opposite him, I was in a dilemma — a new heroine would have to be very good because it is a strong role. Fortunately, Sonakshi has done a marvellous job. After Rishi Kapoor, Salman is the only hero who has introduced a host of new actresses to the industry.”
