Collector seeks reports on field assistants

SANGAREDDY: Collector S. Suresh Kumar directed the officials to submit reports on the field assistants who did not join the duties even after the government met with their demand of increasing the salaries.
Presiding over a meeting held here on Monday, Mr. Suresh Kumar said that action would be initiated against those who fail to join duties. Referring to the ongoing housing construction, he also suggested the officials to complete the toilets also with in one week. The mandal officers were directed to submit reports on the housing demand from the public during ‘Rachabanda'. Stating that a loss of Rs. 16 crore was incurred by the farmers due to the impact of recent hailstorm, he suggested the officers to assure farmers that they need not be panicky as the government would take all steps to extend assistance to them. The officials were asked to submit reports on child labour in different parts of the district and prepare plans to admit them during May by holding counselling to the parents. Sarva Siksha Abhiyan and UNICEF would be roped in this programme. Stating that voter's lists were published for local body elections, he directed the officials to exhibit them in the panchayats. The officials at mandal level were asked to create awareness about the army recruitment rally that would be held at Medak on April 29.
