Madhu Koda sent to 14-day Judicial Custody Mumbai: Breaking News! Former Jharkhand CM Madhu Koda, who was arrested from Chaibasa yesterday, was sent to 14-day judicial custody by the Special Vigilance Judge in Ranchi. Koda was arrested after repeatedly avoiding appearance before the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Koda is the prime accused in a Rs 2,000 crore money laundering scam. He was arrested by the State Vigilance Bureau yesterday. Koda is facing investigations from the Vigilance Department, Income Tax Department and Enforcement Directorate (ED).Madhu Koda is currently a Lok Sabha MP from Jharkhand and has been supporting the UPA Government ever since he was installed as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand by the Congress, RJD and JMM. He was later asked to resign as the CM to pave the way for Shibu Soren. However, Soren had to resign after losing the by-polls.Koda is charged with having large scale illegal investments in Steel, Mines, Cement, Agro, Power and Tourism both in India and abroad.
