Praful Patel working for Vijay Mallya: Radia tapes

New Delhi, Dec 14: New leaked tapes containing conversations of corporate lobbyist Niira Radia with politicians have been published on the Outlook website. The new tapes revealed the rivalry between politicians in Congress party.

In one of the leaked cables, Rajya Sabha member NK Singh said that Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel has worked for Naresh Goyal and now he has been working for Vijay Mallya.

"He’s worked as a minister for Naresh Goyal [Jet Airways] and now Vijay Mallya [Kingfisher]. He cannot brush off this charge," said NK Singh to Nira Radia.

NK Singh also described Surface Transport Minister Kamal Nath's shift from Shipping to the new portfolio by saying, he "is literally on the road."

"Spectacular decline of Kamal Nath. He is on the road... literally on the road... well you can always hide it by saying highways are after all one black point of the government and they want to make up for it. But I think there is much more than meets the eye... In Kamal Nath’s case enough is enough... and I do not think right now he needs another ATM. He has one going on for many years and that is enough for him," said NK Singh.
