New Delhi, July 31 (ANI): Home Minister P Chidambaram on Friday said that the government aims to substantially contain the Maoist menace in the country within three years. Answering a question about Maoist threat in the country, Chidambaram said change of heart among the leftist rebels has to come through, as there is no place for armed rebellion in a parliamentary democracy.
Speaking about the volatile situation in parts of Kashmir, Chidambaram said the government of India has no reservation in talking to various elements in Kashmir to resolve the situation.
