Eight men are being held in Spain on suspicion of having links to a Pakistani militant group blamed for the 2008 Mumbai attacks, reports say.
The seven Pakistanis and one north African are suspected of sending money and forged documents to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), a group connected to al-Qaeda.The arrests took place in and around the north eastern city of Barcelona.
The assault by gunmen two years ago on India's commercial capital killed 166 people.
Spain's leading Cadena radio said the suspects allegedly formed part of a group in Thailand linked to LeT.
Anti-terrorist officers detained the suspects in raids in and around Barcelona late on Tuesday and early Wednesday, Spanish media reported.
Spanish police said a statement would be released later on Wednesday.
