New Delhi: India started their Hockey World Cup 2010 campaign on a high note, by beating Argentina and Netherlands in the warm up games. India beat Netherlands 2-1 in a practice match yesterday. The team had beaten Argentina by a similar margin earlier.
In the match against Netherlands, Prabhjot Singh and Deepak Thakur scored the goals for for India, while Taeke Taekema converted a penalty for the Netherlands.
The Hockey World Cup 2010 will begin at Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi. India will take on arch-rival Pakistan in the first match.
