Sensitisation prog for women scientists

Kakinada,Andhra Pradesh, Feb 9 : The Officer-in-Charge, Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, Dr H B Singh, today called upon the educated womenfolk to come forward to become scientists availing the facilities provided by the government under the 'Women Scientists' scheme for research in basic and applied sciences.
Participating as the chief guest at the inaugural of the two-day workshop on women scientists sensitization programme organised under the aegis of the JNTUK's Centre for Empowerment of Women at its campus here today, he described the scheme as unique and a boon to the educated women under 40 years of age to continue their research work.

Many women due to various family reasons discontinue the research programmes.
