Kakinada: The online and mid examinations of 2nd and 3rd B.Tech second semester have been postponed in the purview of JNTU-Kakinada due to the bandh called by Joint Action Committee of students of coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions to protest against the arrest of student leaders of Acharya Nagarjuna University on Sunday during their march to the State capital. The fresh dates of the examinations would be intimated later, said JNTU-K Controller of Examinations Ch. Satyanarayana.

Sri Prakash students shine
Staff ReporterKakinada: J. Chaya Sriya and J. Devi Sreya, both students of Class 1 in Sri Prakash Synergy School, Peddapuram, secured 4th rank in the National Interactive Maths Olympiad among nearly 20,600 participants.
Sumukh Nori of Class 5 secured 8th rank in the National Biotechnology Olympiad out of 6,250 contestants, according to a press release.
Among the other competitions conducted by Eduheal Foundation for students of Classes 1 to 12, some 36 students secured ranks between 1 and 500 out of about 68,500 students in the International Cyber Olympiad and 35 got ranks in the same range (1 to 500) among nearly 89,700 students in the National Biotechnology Olympiad, the release added.
NSS holds special service camps
Kakinada: NSS volunteers of P.R. Government College held special service camps at Vakalapudi and Valasapakala here on Monday. Students conducted social and economic surveys in those areas as part of the camps. Noted social worker Vakkalanka Ramakrishna spoke about personality development and service attitude, which students need to have from the young age to improve the plight of the poor and downtrodden. District NSS programme officer P.V. Krishna Rao, college faculty members Narasimha Rao, Sudhakar and others were present.
