Ram Gopal Varma turns singer

For the first time in his career, maverick director Ram Gopal Varma has lent his voice for a background song 'Katthulatho saavaasam netthutitho samaaptham' in his forthcoming directorial venture Rakta Charitra, starring Vivek Oberoi, Suriya and Priyamani in the lead roles. According to sources, the director sang it for the Telugu version only, although the film is releasing in three languages: Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. The song has already been recorded. Mani Sharma is the music director. Madhura Music has bagged the audio rights. An intense political drama focusing on the life of Anantapur Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Paritala Ravi, Rakta Charitra is expected to hit screens on October 22.
