Yentha AutoBuzz: Tata Aria To Hit Indian Roads Shortly

Trivandrum: A spokesperson for the company has confirmed that the much awaited Aria, Tata Motor’s multi-utility four-wheeler vehicle, would be launched in India within a month.

Tata's Aria would come packed with a lot of features good enough to take on the other major models like Toyota’s Innova, and Mahindra’s Scorpio, Bolero and Xylo. Aria was earlier dispatched to Jaguar and Land Rover in UK for an interior makeover. However, Tata’s latest entrant is touted to be a ‘four-wheeler built for Indian by Indian Engineers’.

Unveiled at the Auto Expo 2010 in New Delhi, Aria sports a 2.2 l common rail diesel engine and combines the comfort and ease of a mid-range MPV. Also Aria has all the features of an all-terrain premium SUV. Six airbags and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) make for the safety features included in Aria.

Reports say that the Aria would be priced at an affordable Rs. 10 lakh.
