Anwar coming on October 15
Upcoming superstar Prithviraj's much anticipated Anwar, directed by Amal Neerad, will grace screens on October 15 during Pooja holidays. The film was earlier expected on September 10 as a Ramzan treat. According to sources, the makers pushed the release of the film from Ramzan to Pooja holidays to avoid clash with other Ramzan releases: Mohanlal's Shikar, Mammootty's Pranchiyettan and the Saint and Jayaram's Makeup Man. Anwar, scripted by the director himself with his help of R. Unni of Big B fame, is produced by Rajesh Zacharias under the banner of Red Carpet Films. Debutant cameraman Satheesh Kurup cranks the camera and Gopi Sundar is the man behind the music.

Soundarya Rajinikanth, younger daughter of actor Rajinikanth andLatha Rajinikanth, married Ashwin Ramkumar, a Chennai based industrialist, today at the Raja Muthiah Hall, Chennai. The couple were engaged on February 17th this year. Soundarya Rajinikanth, who owns Ocher Studios, produced her first movie Goa which was released this year. Her pet project Sultan, featuring her dad as an animated avatar, is yet to hit screens.

Charmi's cameo in Nagarjuna film
It's a remarkable project for charming beauty Charmi, who has maintained a very low profile for the last couple of years with no big projects in hand! Unlike her usual item numbers, Charmi will make a brief but very important appearance in Telugu superstar Nagarjuna's next film, directed by Veeru Potla of Bindaas fame. The film already has Anushka and Priyamani as heroines and is currently progressing at a brisk pace in Hyderabad. Produced by D. Siva Prasad Reddy under the banner of Kamakshi Movies, the film will grace screens either on December 16 or 17.

Nag's film is not Ragada
There were rumours that Ragada will be the title for director Veeru Potla's Nagarjuna starrer being produced by D. Siva Prasad Reddy under the banner of Kamakshi Movies. But when contacted, the makers instantly clarified that the title is NOT Ragada. Starring Anushka and Priyamani as the female leads, the film is currently progressing at a brisk pace in Hyderabad and will grace screens either on December 16 or 17. After Super and Don, this is the third time Anushka teams up with Nagarjuna. On the other hand, this is the first time Priyamani acts in a Nag film.
Jr. NTR as Lord Krishna
In Telugu cinema, it is legendary actor NTR who frequently appeared in mythological characters like Lord Krishna and Rama! Now, his grandson Jr. NTR is following his footsteps! According to sources, Jr. NTR will be seen with the getup of Lord Krishna for some time in his upcoming flick Brindavanam, being directed by Vamsi Paidipalli under the banner of Dil Raju's Sri Venkateshwara Creations. Notably, the young actor has always expressed interest in enacting mythological characters and revealed this in several interviews. He even excelled with his performance as Lord Yama in the hugely successful Yamadonga. Tarak will be seen in a different avatar in Brindavanam. The film is about relationships and family values and I'm sure it will click with the masses, Dil Raju said. The scenes in which Jr. NTR will appear as Lord Krishna will be shot shortly.
Krishna Vamsi to direct Ram Charan Teja
Upcoming megastar Ram Charan Teja's fifth film has been confirmed! Creative director Krishna Vamsi will be directing this untitled project to be produced by Praja Rajyam MLA Ghanta Srinivasa Rao. The film will go to the sets in October, after Ram Charan Teja completes his two films: Bommarillu Bhaskar directed Orange and Dharani's Merupu. Reportedly, megastar Chiranjeevi personally called on Krishna Vamsi and asked the director to make a film with his son Ram Charan Teja. Krishna Vamsi has already narrated a storyline. More details are yet to be known.
