Indian men’s hockey team reached the semifinals of the Asian Games after beating Pakistan 3-2 in a group B match here on Saturday.
India recorded their third consecutive win as they had beaten Hong Kong 7-0 and Bangladesh 9-0 in their previous outings.
Sandeep Singh converted two penalty corners while Dharamvir Singh scored a field goal in India’s victory.
Shakeel Abbasi and Rehan Butt scored for Pakistan. India face Japan in their last league match on Sunday and are standing on top of the table with nine points after today’s win.
