The JAC also demanded that the government register cases against the police officials who had rained lathi blows on the protestors.

The students also blamed the state government holding it responsible for the turn of events by acting in a high-handed manner.

The protestors demanded that the government make its stand clear on free zone issue, and declare Hyderabad as no free zone. Meanwhile, an all-party delegation comprising of TDP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy, TRS floor leader Etala Rajender and Damodar Reddy visited the Nampally police station, and expressed solidarity with the arrested protestors.
