The High Court verdict in 60-year-old title suit in Babri Masjid-Ramjamabhoomi issue would be announced on September 24. Senior counsel representing Sunni Waqf Board in the case Zafaryab Jilani told HT that the court issued notice in connection with this today. The three-member bench consisting
of Justice SU Khan, Justice Sudhir Agarwal and Justice DV Sharma would announce verdict at 3.30 pm. The hearing in the case was completed in July and the court had then reserved the verdict. The verdict is believed to have major political consequences as votebank politics will take centrestage and could lead to law and order issues in Uttar Pradesh.
